What's the Process to Be Certified?
To make sure planners have a base knowledge of the conservation planning process and ecological principals, planners need to complete the apprentice planner designation curriculum before conducting planning on their own. Apprentice conservation planners can:
- Determine client objectives.
- Conduct resource inventories.
- Run assessment tools.
- Develop alternative solutions to address resource concerns for planning areas.
- Refer to the Conservation Planner Policy - Exhibit 3 for a full curriculum.
